Sustainable Operations

Sustainability is central to how Suntop operates, designs and delivers. Within our own facilities, we manage resources carefully to minimise environmental impact. Process water is responsibly treated and discharged through local municipal systems in line with regulatory standards. Our factories use rooftop solar installations to reduce reliance on non-renewable energy, and energy-saving LED lighting is installed throughout production areas and offices to cut consumption and emissions while maintaining safe, well-lit working environments.

Building Sustainable Capability

We also invest in building sustainability awareness and capability across our teams. Staff take part in training and talks led by external professionals, keeping our thinking aligned with current standards and best practice. Our engineers are trained in sustainable retail design, integrating material efficiency, modularity and end-of-life planning into each project. In parallel, we are developing a library of more sustainable materials, giving our designers and clients clearer options for lower-impact specifications.

Closing the Loop with Clients

Beyond our own operations, we work directly with clients to close the loop on retail fixtures and furniture. In China, we have supported adidas and another brands in a large-scale take-back programme covering approximately 6,500 stores, assessing fixtures and materials for reuse, remanufacture or responsible recycling. Where suitable, remanufactured furniture is donated to schools and community spaces, extending product life while supporting both environmental and social outcomes. Through these combined efforts, we aim to make sustainability a practical, measurable part of every stage in the retail lifecycle.
